Confessions of a canine super model

My Pet Photo Shoot Experience

Hi. I'm a dog. Professional stick chaser, part-time squirrel whisperer, and now… apparently… a model. Yep. You heard that right. My favorite person in the whole wide world booked me a photo session.

I thought we were going to the park. Instead, I ended up in front of a camera, being bribed with treats and squeaky toys like some four-legged diva. And honestly? I wasn’t mad about it.

Here is what happened.

The bath

Here is how I knew something was up, my person gave me a bath. A real bath. Not the "wipe-you-down-with-a-damp-towel-and-call-it-good" kind. Nope. This was full shampoo, brushing, and a bizarre pep talk that involved phrases like "your best angles" and "camera-ready coat."

I smelled like lavender and betrayal.

A car ride

I still thought we were going to the park. Or even better, heading to my favorite coffee shop to get a pup cup. I happily hopped into the car and off we went.

 It was not the park

We pulled up to this studio, and I immediately sniffed, "ah yes, 12 other dogs have been here before me." I left my signature on the bush outside.

Then we went inside. The lights were bright and a very nice lady with a camera called me "handsome" at least 25 times. (She gets me.) Miss Lisa let me wander around to smell the other dogs and cats that had been in this room. Then, she gave me a treat and called me a good boy.

The Modeling Begins

At first, I wasn’t sure what to do. Sit? Stay? Lick the lens? I tried them all. Turns out, sitting and looking adorable was the goal. Easy. That’s my default setting.

Miss Lisa made ridiculous sounds—high-pitched noises, duck quacks, even whispered the word "treat" and "car ride" like it was a secret password.

Yes, there were treats. The little bones and the cheese cubes were my favorite.

I gave my best head tilts, my biggest puppy eyes, and even nailed a mid-air treat catch. I’m not saying I was born for the spotlight, but...

 I am everywhere now

After my session, my person kept saying things like, "He’s just so perfect," and "I can't wait to hang these on the wall." Honestly, it felt like I won Best in Show.

Now there are photos of me everywhere. I’m on the fridge. I’m on the wall.  I am on a desk. I’m even on a mug. (Which is weird because I don't drink coffee.)

Final Thoughts from the Pup-arazzi Star

If you're a fellow furry friend reading this: DO the photo session. So many treats. So much attention. And you get to be the center of the universe—officially.

And if you're a human: book the session. Capture the floppy ears, the tail wags, the head tilts, and the sparkle in our eyes. It means more than you know.

Also... can we stop for a pup cup now?

Signed with love, tail wags, and licks,
